Enabling address bar searching in IE5

next tip

If you like running searches from the address bar (by typing your search term into the address bar and hitting Enter) you will need to re-enable this feature in IE5. Note that IE5 overrides TweakUI's search engine settings.

To enable address bar searching and set it to use the search engine of your choice follow the steps below.

Open the search pane from the Explorer menu bar.
Click on Customize.
Click on Autosearch Settings at the bottom of the page.
Choose a search engine to use for the address bar.

Note, that setting up Autosearch continues to allow you to search for Web pages from the search panel.
