Description: Editing DNA sequences using Species Editor.

Actor: Biology Professor.

Entry Condition : Altering generated DNA sequences for an organism

Exit Condition : Closes application

Used in scenarios:

          Complexifying DNA

User Action

System Response

1. User selects .organism file from green house folder.

2. System displays the DNA sequences for the organism.

3. User alters the nucleotide sequence of the DNA sequence and clicks "fold protein"

4. System displays the new amino acid sequence and protein shape

5. User repeats 1 and 3 for all .organism files. 6.System displays amino acid sequences and protein shapes for the altered DNA sequences but doesn’t give any analysis of as to whether different DNA sequences encode same protein and that different proteins can have same behavior when occurring as alleles.
7.So the User thinks this is an ambiguous and tedious way and there is a need for automation of these processes and exits the application.

Alternatives: Automate processes to edit and test DNA sequences such that it specifies to whether different DNA sequences encode same protein and that different proteins can have same behavior when occurring as alleles.
