Full-time Assistant Professor Position in Graphics/Visualization
The Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computer Security, to begin September 1, 2015. We offer an ABET-accredited BS in Computer Science, a BS in Information Technology, an MS with an emphasis on software engineering, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Current faculty interests include bioinformatics, computer and human vision, data mining, databases, graphics, networks, security, software engineering, system modeling, and theoretical computer science.

Lecturer in Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks applications for a lecturer whose primary responsibility will be to teach in and help shape our undergraduate Computer Science major. This is a regular faculty position, but not tenure track. The initial appointment will be for the Spring 2015 semester, with annual renewals possible (and expected) for the right person.
The lecturer provides instruction at the undergraduate level in the Department of Computer Science in a range of computer science topics. Primary responsibilities include teaching three courses each semester, developing new materials for courses, advising students and overseeing processes for the program to maintain accreditation. Currently, we teach our introductory courses in Java, and knowledge of this language is highly desirable.
Prior experience in teaching Computer Science at the university level; significant prior experience in the Software or Information Technology industry. The candidate must hold a Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related area.
