Job Title: Telecommunication / Electrical Engineer - Summer Intern
Description:
Orange Labs Boston is currently looking to contract a technical summer
intern to design and prototype a new innovative service the support of
demonstration. We seek an individual with telecommunication or
electronics skills to assist with other product development and market test
requirements as needed. The role of this position is in support of the Senior Telecom
Engineer. This position will work primarily in the FTR&D facility in
Cambridge, MA.
Domains include smart devices, Near Field Communication, and E-health.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and review product requirements
- Propose technical direction to members of a
project team
- Prototype the innovation
Required Skills:
- Familiarity in Java and J2EE
- Programming language skills like embedded linux, C
programming
- Excellent communication skills
- Work on multiple, simultaneous projects from beginning to end
- Self-starter, dynamic and independent
- Ability to work in small teams
Qualifications:
- Educational background in a related field, such as telecommunication, electronics
- Skills using Modelsim, Simulink, embedded Linux, c
programming
- Ability to take direction and deliver on time
- Skills using MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Experience working within a team other researchers,
software developers, and project manager
Additional Information:
The hired intern will report to Senior Telecom Engineer. The pay rate is $15/hr.
