| Research Interests: |
| Human Vision: - algorithmic analysis of human eye movements for the investigation of visual attention - gaze trajectories as indicators of mental representations - psychophysical experiments employing gaze-contingent displays - visual perception and eye movements in virtual 3-D scenes - using artificial neural networks to model components of visual information processing such as visual attention, visual working memory, and eye movements Computer Vision: - simulating human vision using an active-vision camera head - biologically motivated approaches to object recognition - vision systems with flexible organization and deployment of processing resources (visual attention) - evaluation of biological approaches to computer vision with psychophysical data - parallel algorithms for image processing Human-Computer Interaction: - development and evaluation of gaze-controlled user interfaces - robot learning by observation and imitation of human movement |
