Founding member of the
"Der Sturm" art school, exhibiting with Klee and teaching painting. Head of the
"Weaving Workshop" for most of his 1920-1927 Bauhaus tenure. Spent the remaining years teaching in various
German institutions.
Muche
was instrumental in organizing the first Bauhaus exhibition of 1923
for which he designed the important experimental house, Haus
am Horn, in Weimar, Germany, with Marcel Breuer.
