Born in Jamaica, W.I to a father of Lebanese descent and a mother of British
descent, I came to the U.S.A. for college, never again to live in the lap of
luxury that is the Caribbean. After many years of college, and many changes in
major, I finally graduated with a degree in Communications, only then to find the
future that I was so avidly seeking: a career in computers. For many years I worked
as system administrator for DEC and IBM mainframes, and eventually for midrange UNIX
systems. A number of classes taken at Harvard Extension gave me the opportunity I
sought. I became a programmer. I have worked with C++, Oracle DB, MS SQL Server,
Web systems, and eventually Java and C#. I have managed a small team of web programmers,
and have built and maintained stock trading servers. I am currently back in school for
my masters, with the express purpose of finally procuring a degree in the field of my
choice.
