Professional Experience

Software Engineer, August 2003 to Present

Worked as a Software Engineer (in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Studio .NET, MS Access, and MS SQL Server), and was on the principal development team for the Company's set of core products: EasyTouch-IS, EasyTouch-IS Risk Software, and EasyTree Pedigree Software. Designed and implemented  a .NET plug-in that allowed client applications to use multiple database engines without altering/recompiling the client source-code. Developed a clinician data entry application that manages high risk patients, and produces reports indicating patient risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, as well as categorizes "High-Risk" cancer patients into different levels of Hereditary Cancer Risk, based on statistical cancer models.

Worked on a contract basis (in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Studio .NET, MS Access, and MS SQL Server)  for Doctors and Researchers at The Avon Foundation Comprehensive Breast Evaluation Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. Developed a data entry application that manages patient demographic information for the Breast Evaluation Center. Implemented Statistical Analysis algorithms to identify "High-Risk" cancer patients.

Software Engineering Intern, May 2001 to September 2001

Main functions included testing and debugging a suite of applications, in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, as well as enhancing the user interface to meet client demands. Provided on-site software training to multiple law firms, conducted user interface studies on a series of applications and implemented various customer requests in an effort to enhance the user interface. In charge of conducting usability testing for a suite of Visual Studio 6.0 applications.
