The old method using Telnet no longer workss. Look under News/Announcements under the home page: currently the first msg is "Telnet/FTP Access to the CS Networks". There is a program you can down- load to windows to make your home PC act like a monitor in the UNIX Lab, i.e. you can edit, read mail, etc., everything except upload and download files. There is more in the msg about how to upload/download, and also what to do if you have a MacIntosh PC. -- poneil
