Archive Requirements

1. Background Paragraph. To provide an historical context for the interview, students are asked to write a brief background paragraph of between 150 and 200 words.

2. The interview. Ideally, interviews should be between 600 and 800 words. Students can provide a Question and Answer (Q&A) format, or the interview in a narrative format. It is suggested that students prepare a list of 20 questions before conducting their interview.

3. Title. Students are asked to choose a quote which best captures the spirit of the interview. That quote can be used as the title.

4. Subhead. The subhead is a brief, summary statement of the interview.

5. Permission slips. Students submitting interviews must also submit a permission slip which is signed by both the student and the interviewee. Permission slips will be provided to interested schools.

6. Software requirements. Schools may submit a collection of interviews on disc. Popular wordprocessessing formats are acceptable. Conversions to Interleaf6 and Cyberleaf will be made at the University.
