Similar species: Eresia alsina, E. mechanitis, Eueides isabella, Hypothyris euclea Related species: Melitaeinae Species range: Mexico to South America Abundance: Common Larval host plants: Acanthaceae Early stages: Eggs clustered and early instars gregarious Comments: Commonly observed when migrating through Monteverde, but not known to breed on the upper slopes. |
