Optimization is at the core of many problems arising in bioinformatics and computational biology. The focus of this special session is on single- and multi-objective optimization techniques and their applications in the fields of bioinformatics, computational biology, systems biology and related disciplines.

The paper format is same as BICoB-2014. That is, papers will be accepted only by electronic submission (PDF only). A full paper includes title, author's name(s) and affiliation, mailing address, telephone, fax and email of the principal author. Please specify “Session: Optimization in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology ” as subtitle in the submitted paper. The submitted manuscript should closely reflect the final paper as it will appear in the Proceedings which will be a maximum of 6 pages (+2 pages with additional page charge). Journal Publication: Authors of selected high quality papers in BICoB-2014, including this special session, will be invited to submit extended version of their papers for possible publication in bioinformatics journals.
