Hi all,

I am seeking information on the whereabouts of the
early-to-mid-17th-century Bernard Capen House
<https://mhc-macris.net/details?mhcid=mlt.82>.

It was originally built ca. 1658 in Dorchester for the Capen family near
Codman Square. In 1909, it was moved to Milton to prevent it from being
demolished. It was then dismantled and moved to Milton where it was
rebuilt. It was then dismantled *again in 2006 *and stored.

I recently spoke to Mark Landry at Landmark Services who owned it
(dismantled) until several years ago (post-2006). Since then, it was sold
to someone living in the North Shore, but I have no further information on
who. The MACRIS form for the house (MLT.82) states as the address
"dismantled and moved out of state."

I am very interested in locating this house. Does anyone know of its
current owner or location? If you do, I'd be very interested in receiving
more information as a reply or directly sent to me at:
joseph.bagley at boston.gov

Sincerely,
 Joe
