My Story/ Mi Historia

My name is Andres Marzan. I am currently a Senior at Umass Boston majoring in Information Technology with a track in Computer Forensics

I was born in Boston, MA. My background is Puerto Rican and Guatemalan. I grew up in the projects of Mission Hill in the Roxbury Area near RCC and Regis Lewis Center

For the most of my life, I've had overcome a variety of challenges from poverty, academics, a negative family legacy, and my self. It's tough at times to walk a different path where one wants to accomplish way more than just having a career and doing what everyone else does however I believe chasing your dreams and goals is worth everything in the world!

Passions

I've always had a passion for technology. What so fascinating about it is how we have been able to combine so many revolutionary projects that culminate into the technologies of today such as the smart phone, tablet, eletric vehicles, drones, small earpods and life changing technologies. My hope is that the new and emerging technologies can revolutionize the world in the same way the first phone and computer did!

My goal regarding my career is to use my expertise in technology to educate others on how to use specific technologies and show them how it could benefit their lives. With the rise of A.I, some jobs may be taken leaving many people in a rough position. My goal is to find innovative ways to put technology to work for the average person in the same manner we put money to work for us when we invest in appreciating assets. I want to place this focus on low income communities because people here are at a great disadvantage in many aspect of their lives. I will talk more about my plan of action in my plans for the future.
