Hello! I am Kartik, but you can call me with whatever the name you like. I am a Scorpio. And that's all you wanna know!
I was born on Nov 21, 1975 in Vadodara, nowadays a wellknown city in Western India. I spent all my childhood and youth in Vadodara. I know Gujarati (which is my first language), English, Hindi, Urdu (or parts of it), Java (which is my second language), C#, C++ and C (which I have known since pre-school!).
I am a true Hindu, and I believe that Hinduism gives me a liberty to think and believe whatever I think is right. This brings down to the following 5 principles that I have believed and respected all my life:

1. Be ethical. Keep your moral level high enough so that you never need to be ashamed of yourself. You do not have a right to seize anything from anyone that you cannot return;

2. Never harm anyone or anything, unless he or she or it starts first;

3. Never apologize when you're not at fault;

4. There are no wrong desision, it's only a perception of the others that make you think that way. One always encounters a bifurcation in his or her life, and you choose one way over the other - without knowing the outcome of either! Just make sure you learn from the mistakes you made in the past, and continue with your instinct. I believe that you should do what your instinct tells you to do.

5. The capital punishment should be abolished. Globally. Hanging someone is nothing less than a murder. Punishment is necessary, and the purpose of a punishment is to teach someone a lesson. If you hang somebody, it takes his/her life, but does not teach a lesson!

I do not believe in Hell or Heaven. You always do what you think is good for *you*. And no one can judge you on your actions - then how can there be a Hell or Heaven? No one has actually been to either of the places, so there is no proof! Consequently, I have to agree that I do not believe in God as well! I do believe in a centralized or distributed source of power that runs everything, but to call *it* God - does not make sense!

[Actually, I do not really care if you do not follow or agree with above! But we can surely have a debate on these ;) ]
I (merely) passed my Bachelor of Computer Science from Maharaja Sayajirao University in 1998. I passed my Masters of Computer Science from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2000. I love to work with Java, Object Oriented Software Design, User Interface Design and Usability. I love designing and deriving software theories and I love to code in Java. On the contrary, I am a fan of Microsoft and Bill Gates - and the way he has started to become my idol - at least, professionally!
I currently work for Manhattan Associates in Burlington, MA. I work in the field of J2EE/WebServices based Supply Chain Management solutions. Nice company, nice people, nice atmosphere and excellent pay.

Recently, I bought a new Suzuki Katana 600. It is an amazing ride, I already have 300+ miles on it! Here is a picture of the bad boy next to a good boy ;)
I drive a 2000 Chrysler Concorde - a beautiful car! I hate Hondas, Toyotas and Nissans - although, I do like Infiniti G35 and Toyota Solara Convertible. My dream car is BMW M3 Convertible.
