Identification:
Small, no red-brown in the borders above, veins at end of hindwing discal cell with broad black shading, black postdiscal bar short, forewing vein M2 all black, no yellow at base of ventral hindwing.

Wingspan: 46 mm

Forewing length: 23 mm

Horizontal bars = 1 cm


Local distribution: Not recorded at Monteverde. Known from similar Atlantic slope habitats to the south.

Similar species: Ithomia bolivari, I. diasa, Oleria paula, Hypoleria cassotis

Species range: Costa Rica to South America

Abundance: Not recorded
