Identification:
Large, forewing and hindwing discs transparent lemon yellow, black markings mostly opaque, ventral forewing and ventral hindwing with paired marginal spots.

Wingspan: 89mm

Forewing length: 45mm


Local distribution: Atlantic slope at 600-1000 m.

Similar species: Eutresis dilucida, Godyris zavaleta, Olyras crathis

Species range: Costa Rica to South America

Abundance: Uncommon

Larval host plants: Schultesianthus megalandrus. Oviposition observed and reared by Isidro Chacón (pers. comm.).

Early stages:

Comments: Common in large light gaps in primary forest at Refugio Eladio.
