Identification:
Forewing with rear margin mostly orange, post discal band of forewing cream yellow, no bar or spot in forewing discal cell.

Wingspan: 50-54mm

Forewing length: 26-28mm


Local distribution: In Costa Rica known from the El Rodeo reserve west of San José at about 800 m elevation.

Similar species: Pteronymia agalla, P. fulvescens, Ceratinia tutia

Species range: Costa Rica and Panama

Abundance: Rare

Larval host plants: Unknown

Early stages: Unknown

Comments: The same habitat where P. donata is found in the Central Valley also occurs west of Monteverde.
