[MassHistPres] Experience with selling the demolition delay extension to 18 months?

Somerville's delay period is 18 months (.xls says 9). We extended to 18 months a few years ago.

Here is the excel chart. Please check the MHC website for towns that have already extended their Demo Delays which can only help more.

fyi, Lexington's Demo Delay period is now 21 months, with an exception for multifamily housing or inclusionary dwelling unit projects, which reduces the time to 12 months  (Code of Lexington Section 19-3 (F)(3)  - https://ecode360.com/10420955#10420958 )

The pdf attached was used about 5 years ago to convince Hopkinton residents to extend the demo delay from 6 months to 18 months. The key graphic was the comparative status of towns in the state regarding their demo delay length.
