I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Research

My recent research has been in:

• Software Accessibility – in particular communicating relational data to blind users

I also am involved in Information Technology Education:

• Boston Area Technology Education Connections (BATEC) – I am co-Principal Investigator of this NSF funded center supporting technology education at Boston area schools and colleges.
• The BS Information Technology – a new degree program under development.

I also have done research in:

• Information Security – in particular Distributed Data Authentication
• Algorithm Engineering – the Data Structures Library in Java
• Graph Algorithms
• Graph Drawing
